The repairathon

We've received tentative approval for use of the Constance Bay Community Center to do a repairathon. They're willing to give us whatever space we need (indoor or outdoor).

We'll need to pick a date that's far enough off that we can market it appropriately, but close enough that people don't forget. I'm thinking early/mid july.

Thoughts?

Saturday or sunday. Monday is garbage day out here, which means most people do big cleanups on sunday. The curbs are littered with treasures (trash that I take home) that we could either fix and give away or use for parts

Yeah, we will need to do some organizing and get some information out to advertise and get volunteers. A Sunday is probably ideal. We will also want people to reach out about what they want to have fixed so we can manage scope.

Also, we do own repairathon.ca, so we should probably put info there for people haha. I just suck at making websites

How do we grow red bull and chicken wings? That's what students live on right?

Honestly, we need to get even a bad web dev on board haha, pay them in tendies

I can certainly be a bad web dev, but I need more than tendies. I need at least 4 red bulls per day

That'd actually be awesome! Yeah, it mostly needs to be a "good enough" looking page with information on what the goal is, who to contact, and dates for events. Maybe some pictures from events once we've done one, but that'd be a later thing. No worries if that's too much for you to take on
